Learn About Our Camps

Five of our sleepaway camps are located on Sharpe Reservation, a more than 2,000 acre property, in Fishkill, NY. With nature trails, lakes and streams, a model farm and planetarium, Sharpe Reservation is just two hours from New York City. Our sixth camp, Camp Junior in memory of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, is located at Harriman State Park.

With nature as their classroom, campers, ages 8-15, learn to swim, hike wooded trails, and learn about the environment while exploring in the outdoors. Campers return home with more confidence, new talents and new friends. As campers learn new skills, they also learn about themselves.

Youth, 8-15, who live and go to school in NYC, and meet income eligibility requirements can apply for camp. Youth, 16-17, who live and go to school in NYC are eligible to apply for our CIT Program.

Camp Anita Bliss Coler (Abc)

Camp ABC is for girls 9–15 years old.

It is a home away from home for many of our campers who return year after year.

Camp Mariah
Career Awareness Program

Camp Mariah is the home to the Career Awareness Program for youth ages 12-15.

Participants apply in 6th grade (must be ages 11-13) and make a three year commitment to the year round program that helps students learn about the connections between education and career choices.

Camp Tommy is for boys, ages 13-15.

There is a focus on leadership development. Basketball, music, swimming and archery are favorite activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you rent out the camps?

Yes! Our camps are available to rent for day and overnight trips during the school year when Fresh Air children are not at camp. Members of the community and school groups participate in year-round and environmental education programs at Sharpe Reservation. What facilities do all five camps at Sharpe Reservation share?

All campers have the opportunity to visit the Model Farm, planetarium, teams course, and high ropes course. Our camps also share our extensive hiking trails and archery courses.

Are the camps ACA accredited?

All of our camps are accredited by the American Camping Association.
